Wildlife Pond Clearance - Walberswick, Southwold, Suffolk, IP18

This wildlife pond had been left far too long without any maintenance or clearance and was completely full of root mass. The only real way to sort something like this is to remove absolutely everything and start a fresh but this can be troublesome, especially with lined ponds as it's difficult not to damage the liner in the process.

Nonetheless, the risks were explained to the customer and we had a liner ready to replace it if needed. It was extremely difficult work getting this lot cut up but we managed to get it all done and didn't actually need to replace the pond liner after all. 

We left the root mass overnight to get some of the water-weight out of it and got the pond cleaned up on the second day. The pond is now going to be made into a lily pond using pots so that maintenance can be performed each year and things never get this bad again!
