Replacing pond lining - Wrentham, Beccles, Suffolk, NR34

The liner on this pond in Wrentham, Suffolk had failed and meant the customer was constantly topping the pond up with tap water. Our pond lining company was asked to install a new pond liner and replace the wooden posts so the customer could add the protection which was currently there.

We started by removing the protective fencing and giving the pond a good clean so we were able to remove the old liner. Underneath the lining the structure was in really good condition and apart from removing some roots that had trailed under the liner we were ready to install the new underlay and liner without making any repairs or edits.

Once the new liner was installed we were able to replace all the edging pavers which secured the liner in place. We then concreted the wooden posts back in to finish. We let the pond establish for a few days with some added bacteria before returning the fish on this project as we weren't able to keep much of the established water. Because we installed a new pressure filter this let both the temperature and water chemistry even out.
