Pond Renewal - Upton, Norfolk, NR13

This heart shape pond was constructed many years ago and like a lot of concrete ponds built way back when, they start to leak. Once we'd drained and cleaned everything down we saw a lot of hairline cracks which we'd typically fill with an epoxy filler, but on this occasion we decided to install a sheet liner over the top which would also bring the water level up higher in the process.

This required removing and relaying all the stone edging and making some edits to the shape so the liner could sit flat. A nice thick sheet of underlay and a top quality EPDM liner went in and now the pond is looking much different and really mirroring the sky. 

As the plant's were all infested with the dreaded New Zealand pigmy weed we made sure to get rid of everything and some nice lilies will be going in soon to provide some shade when the suns beating down on it. With no filtration and full sunlight all day this pond will really benefit from the shade of the lily leaves.
