Pond Maintenance - Saxmundham, Suffolk, IP17

The owner of this pond was concerned about the level of waste accumulating at bottom and was looking for a pond specialist to remove it. 

This is relatively straight forward work and is a good time of the year to do so as the fish are less active and the water is holding more oxygen. We drained down the pond, making sure to keep as much of the undisturbed water as possible. The fish were all discovered and placed in the holding vat whilst we then set about removing all the built up sludge and waste at the bottom. 

Once we'd done this we also cleaned the filtration system and changed the UV bulb which I don't think had been done for a good few years. We then refilled the pond and were asked to count the fish on their way back in to their freshly cleaned home. There were 101 in total which is realistically too many for a pond this size but now the customer knows they can make some arrangements to resolve this.
