Pond liner repairs - Norwich, Norfolk.

Typically we wouldn't attempt pond liner repairs on this type of pond liner but as we did some work for this customer a while back and we knew the condition of the liner we agreed to try.

We drained the water down and got the fish safely into the holding vat. We had to fully remove all the waste and because the pond liner was covered in algae and limescale we needed to carefully pressure clean it in order to search for the damage. Typically we wouldn't do this as it can upset the balance  and damage the liner further but in this instance it was necessary to find the damage. 

We found 3 sets of what we believe to be holes from a herons foot! This pond is unfortunately easy pickings for a heron and a prime example of why I'd never install this type of pond liner as they are so easily damaged. We patched the repairs which seem to have done the trick and the customer is looking to raise and reline the pond in the coming months.
